Triathlete Mag's swimsuit shoot

So the week post desert-duathlon my blistered feet were lucky enough to get to spend a few days down at the famous Biltmore Resort in Phoenix. Triathlete Magazine was shooting their 2009 Swimsuit Edition there, and I was lucky enough to be included for the second consecutive year. I put an emphasis on lucky, as it was just myself (a dude) and five female triathlete models!

I never have had a chance to stay at The Biltmore before but John Duke of Triathlete was so cool he gave me a room and lots of good food to eat. It may sound funny, but I don't think life could get much better than this! I found myself training some, but certainly not enough, and the whole week seemed like a vacation despite never having really left home.

The total number of people on the shoot were probably at least fifteen, pretty much everyone had a great time and by the end we all were like one big family. Duke was my main source of entertainment, as he had me in stitches multiple times daily. The girls, I found them also to be incredibly entertaining as they were all too nice to me, and didn't gang up on me for being the only male subject!

Tim Mantoani was shooting some amazing shots that I can't wait to see! He spent most of the time working around the pools or out in Papago Park. It's really amazing what a true artist can do when given some lighting and a little landscape.

Just like last year, I worked a total of about an hour, the rest of the time I pretty much just messed around. This shoot made me feel like a kid, I'm always looking for any excuse to do that! Check out the Triathlete Swimsuit Issue, not sure when it's coming out but it should be in the next couple months.

Cheers,
Lewis
